Where is wetherspoons in scarborough

Although the pub is only set on the ground and first floors of it the whole building was clad in scaffolding. I asked a member of staff if it was earmarked to become one of their hotels and he said that they were just fixing some windows on the first floor. Frankly I didn't believe him as why on earth would they clad the entire building in scaffolding just to do that?

I made three visits here mid week in February so it never got rammed and seemed to be ticking along nicely. It's an old school Spoons with the old blue and gold plastic signage outside and lots of wood inside.

It's a roughly square room with another bar and area above that I didn't investigate. It's got a fairly typical mix of furnishings. The downstairs bar has two sets of six hand pumps which had no doubling up, no spurious ciders and nothing Available Soon. My only criticism is that all nine guests were from the national list with nothing from smaller local microbreweries. I thought this was a decent Spoons. The Covid screens are a bit distracting but hopefully will be gone one day, otherwise quite pleasant. Three different-style beers from Rudgate were on offer along with the usual stuff. On 6 th October - rating: 7 [User has posted recommendations about pubs].

Not a bad Spoons. I have been here loads of times but for some reason have never left a review before. Twelve Real Ales with a decent selection. Worth a visit.
