I think he kind of appreciated that fact. Hell, people anywhere, guitarists anywhere. The fact that he chose me was really special. I just think we had a great chemistry. That kind of thing.

Do you do it and then leave or do you do it and then hang out and discuss things and irregardless of music or anything under the sun, can you hang? The hang is a big part and he was a good hang, man. Coming into all of it, did you get the sense that he was a Georgia Satellites fan? Yeah, he was. I think Duff or Slash told me that he had [our] tape on the bus constantly. He had these Midwestern roots, this Midwestern sensibility about rock and roll and music. So I think he kind of saw that in us being from the South.

You know, that appealed to him. Yeah, I wondered how much that played into him wanting to bring you into his musical world and if that was even part of it at all. Frontman Axl Rose, guitarist Slash and bassist Duff McKagan are the only original members currently in the band; the three reconvened in for the long-awaited Not In This Lifetime world tour. Or do you just like the logo? Last year, McKagan offered his thoughts on why the guitarist has been absent from the trek.

The release date has now been pushed back to September 7th of this year with signed pre-orders starting in August.

Maybe it's the tea? While all the band's members have stayed in the limelight to some degree, Stradlin maintains an air of mystery, only occasionally giving interviews and answering questions about the seemingly cyclical reunion rumors. Stradlin skipped the much-hyped reunion tour, briefly gifting some gossip that the reason for his absence was that "[The band members] didn't want to split the loot equally" before deleting the tweet.

And while that accusation has never been proved true, Stradlin seems to take his non-role in stride, striking a nonchalant tone in a statement to the Wall Street Journal.
